Issued to and signed on accompanying transfer document by General Sir Ivo Lucius Beresford Vesey (1876 - 1975). Commissioned into the Queen’s Royal Regiment in 1897, he served with them in South Africa from 1899 - 1901. He carried out the reconnaissance for discovery of the train captured by the Boers on which a young Winston Churchill had been taken prisoner. He was highly decorated through a long military career. Lightly stamp cancelled and Extremely Fine.
