1801, New Hampshire. Stock certificate for one share. Chartered in 1796, the road began construction in 1801 and operated from the Piscataqua bridge in Dover to the Merrimack River in Concord, New Hampshire. Signed by Samuel Elliott and Issac Waldron, Jr. Uncancelled and EF.

1942, New Jersey. Stock certificate for 1 share. Blue. Vignette of steam locomotive at top center. Litho. Slight stub glue residue at left. Incorporated in 1886, the company connected the Weehawken Terminal to Jersey City and was part of the New York Central system. Punch cancelled and Very Fine.

1872, New Jersey. Stock certificate for 5 shares. Black/Brown with attached adhesive blue revenue. Large vignette of a steam locomotive at center. Litho. The company was formed on March 17, 1870 from four smaller railroads and subsequently contracted with the New York and Oswego to act as the latter’s carrier across New Jersey. Uncancelled and extremely fine.

1875, New Jersey. Stock certificate for 100 shares. Steam locomotive vignette. Litho. Originally formed by Jay Gould, the company went into receivership during the Panic of 1873, was reorganized and was acquired by the Central Railroad of New Jersey in 1879. Folds. A few pinholes. Scarce. Uncancelled and Fine.

1903. New York. Stock certificate for 2 shares. Black/White with gold seal. Vignette of eagle at top left and bust of lady at bottom center. Punch cancelled and Fine.

1908. New York. Stock certificate for 4 shares. Black/White on light green background with green seal. Vignette of eagle with spread wings at top center. A nice early telephone stock. Punch cancelled and Fine.

1870, New Mexico Territory. Stock certificate for 50 shares. Black. Superb large engraved vignette of miners working a sluice at top center. This company was the first mining company incorporated in New Mexico. Folds. Light damp staining at upper right corner. Uncancelled and fine.

1933, Louisiana. $1000 Bond bearing 5% interest. Blue/Black. Train vignette at top left. Perferation cancelled. Very fine.
