Sir George Oliver Colthurst (1882 – 1951). succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Colthurst, of Ardum, co. Cork [I., 1744] on 25 December 1925. In 1938, Colthurst declined an offer of $1,000,000 by a syndicate of American businessmen to take the Blarney Stone on tour throughout the United States.
