WEYERHAEUSER, FREDERICK E. JR.
FREDERICK E. WEYERHAEUSER, JR. (1872-1945). Frederick E. was the son of Frederick Weyerhaeuser, "The Lumber King," who built the largest timber empire in the nation. Upon the father's death in 1914, the family empire, which was valued at $300 million, passed to his four sons who continued skillful management of it. Frederick E. became the president of the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company, and a director of the Great Northern Railway.
